BREAKING NEWS: Travis Kelce Reveals the One Time of Year He’d Avoid for a Wedding.giang

Planning a wedding during football season? Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has a strong opinion about that, and he made it clear on the Wednesday, January 8, episode of the New Heights podcast, which he co-hosts with his brother, Philadelphia Eagles legend Jason Kelce.

The two brothers tackled a listener’s question about whether a fall wedding is a good idea for football fans. Their discussion quickly turned into a humorous yet insightful debate, with the Kelce brothers offering two very different perspectives.

Travis: “Fall Weddings Are a No-Go”

Travis, 35, wasted no time expressing his stance on fall weddings, particularly during football season.

“I actually don’t know people who’ve gotten married in the fall,” he said. “All the weddings I’ve been to and all my friends always do it in the summer.”

Travis jokingly suggested that couples planning a fall wedding should strategically choose a weekend when their favorite team isn’t playing a high-stakes game.

“You gotta be willing to find a weekend where the team isn’t playing anybody good, maybe,” he quipped.

He added that avoiding a fall wedding might also be a wise move to ensure anniversaries don’t clash with football season.

“Maybe it’s in her best interest to not have it in the fall so that she knows you’re invested in the anniversary every time it comes around. I think you guys should duke that out,” he said.

Travis, who has been dating Taylor Swift since 2023, stood firm in his opinion, adding, “I’ve seen weddings in f–king February. I’ve seen weddings everywhere but the fall. So I’m not sure if the fall is a good wedding season.”

He later joked about the dilemma football fans face when weddings coincide with games:

“Don’t make my friends have to choose whether or not they have to sell their tickets that week. Everybody’s got season tickets. Don’t make my friends have to not go.”

Jason: “Weddings Are Bigger Than Football”

Jason, 37, who has been married to Kylie Kelce since 2018 and is currently expecting their fourth child, took a more pragmatic approach.

“Brother, I’m gonna tell you right now: Do the fall wedding and avoid this frivolous fight that means absolutely f–king nothing,” he advised the caller.

Jason emphasized that some things in life are more important than football, including weddings and keeping the peace with a future spouse.

“You can watch the football game another time,” he said. “Record it and watch it again. There are certain things that are more important than football, and if the wedding isn’t more important than football, we got some bigger issues here.”

He also offered some sage advice for maintaining harmony in a marriage:

“There’s a lot more important things than football, and weddings happen to be one of them. Not arguing with your wife is high up there with more important than football. So I would just do the wedding whenever she wants to because that’s kinda your job now.”

A Kelce Family Divide

While Jason championed the idea of prioritizing love over sports, Travis wasn’t swayed. He ended the discussion with a playful nod to Ted Lasso, quoting the show’s iconic phrase: “Football is life!”

The debate offered listeners a mix of humor and relatable insight into the challenges of balancing personal milestones with the passion for sports. With one brother advocating for flexibility and the other firmly against fall weddings, the Kelces once again showcased their contrasting personalities, proving why their podcast remains a fan favorite.

Taylor Swift’s Take?

While Taylor Swift wasn’t directly mentioned in the conversation, fans couldn’t help but speculate how the pop superstar might feel about Travis’s aversion to fall weddings.

With the couple’s high-profile relationship continuing to capture public attention, it’s safe to say any future wedding plans will be heavily scrutinized—and possibly timed to avoid interfering with football season.

Whether you side with Travis’s commitment to the game or Jason’s prioritization of marital harmony, one thing is clear: the Kelce brothers know how to turn even the most mundane questions into an entertaining debate.
